Swords

Swords have had histories like the heroes that wielded them...

Stories written .. myths that swirled around them.. and even ballads that sing of their greatness..

basically..

sword is a long-edged piece of metal, used as a cutting and/or thrusting weapon in many civilisations throughout the world. The word sword comes from the Old english word sweord ,wher swer is "To wound " or "To hurt".

A sword fundamentally consists of a Blade, a hilt, and a pommel, typically with one or two edges for striking and cutting, and a point for thrusting. The basic intent and physics of swordsmanship has remained fairly constant down the centuries, but the actual techniques varied among cultures and periods as a result of the differences in blade design and purpose. The names given to many swords in mythology, literature, and history reflect the high prestige of the weapon.

zanbatō (斬馬刀, literally "horse-slaying sword" or "horse-chopping saber") :

Is an especially large type of Japanese sword, the

historical use of which is disputed. The sword closely

resembles the nodachi or ōdachi, however it differs

from the nodachi by having a ricasso of approximately 12 to 18 inches. This lends more to the theory of the sword having a practical use in feudal Japan. The increased length of the blade, along with the extra grip, would give it dual use both as a sword and as a spear-type weapon used for attacking advancing cavalry. This style of zanbatō sword can be found for sale in rural tourist shops and stands in Kyoto and Nara prefectures of Japan. This sword may have been inspired by the Chinese zhan ma dao (see below), as both were said to have been used for killing the horse and rider in one swing.

It can be seen in almoste very jap animes nowadays....

ANY SWORD STORY IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE MOST FAMOUS OF THEM ALL...

Alone in the wilderness of life

Walking on the dusty path someone had called life, leaving the things left behind
knowing the mist that shrouded my path ,
guilt of the sins, grieved at heart.

Memories of the old, Came with the rest , & I cried
knowing , I was let alone on this forest lane
left to think, left to be broken apart

All that seemed long lost were found, only so that
Those that were at hand could be lost,
Seein around,If my life could restart.

Many a Time,I wanna Apologise , But never the time was right
Many a time I so did to no avail
But those i didnt hurt a lot more than those I did....

--------------------------------------------------------
After a very brief incident of a quarrel i wrote these lines....
and i found my answer....

Though most may say that of the two cases , apologising and not being accepted and not apologising at all...
has no difference cos the outcome is the same...

I say there is a great difference .. and that is how u feel about it... by apologising , whether the person accepts the apology or not , I'd say u feel a lot better.....
